Founded in 1987, Hotel Plaza del Sol was born from the vision of a group of investors passionate about hospitality and tourism. They set out to create the ideal accommodation in the heart of Santo Domingo — a place perfectly suited to the needs of both travelers and the local community. Today, we proudly offer 28 thoughtfully designed rooms in four categories: Standard, Double Standard, Executive, and Junior Suite.

Each of our apartment-style studios is designed to make you feel at home, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, free safety deposit box, cable TV, local-call telephone, high-speed internet, air conditioning, a 24-hour emergency power generator, elevator access, daily housekeeping, a guest-use computer, and complimentary morning coffee in the lobby.
We’re also proud to be a pet-friendly hotel — and unlike many others, we have no weight or size limits! Your pets are welcome here, no matter their breed or size, for a small additional fee of RD$500 per pet, per stay, which helps us maintain the rooms after their visit.
